The Ten Advices for Yoga Practitioners

THE FIRST ADVICE:
The beginners in ogapractice should increase their spiritual practice day by day.

They should practise corectly, sistematically and with a lot of enthusiasm the different yoga techniques. Besides, they should read and meditate deeply upon spiritual teachings.

THE SECOND ADVICE:
The ogisshould not diminish their upsurge after their first spiritual experiences. They should do their adhanawith perseverance in order to increase their mental focus and to deepen their interiorization states during meditation.

THE THIRD ADVICE:
In the beginning of yoga practice, the yogis should do the yoga techniques both alone and in group. Also, they shoud practise in quiet places, especially in nature. In this way the yogi will accustom to the benefic yoga discipline.

THE FORTH ADVICE:
It is very difficult for the beginners to maintain unbroken the mental focus upon the meditating subject. That is why the yogi have to be very perseverant in order to increase the duration of continous focusing. They have to control the mental wandering.

THE FIFTH ADVICE:
If the beginner remarks that his mental is a dormant one and he falls asleep when he meditates, then he has to practise more athayoga (especially inverse sanas). This will help him to have a vivid mental.

THE SIXTH ADVICE:
The yogis have to practise with perseverance the deep meditation till he attains the imperturbable mental peace or even some forms of divine ecstasy (AMADHI.

THE SEVENTH ADVICE:
After the yogi attains once the divine ecstasy, he has to evoke as much as possible this state of consciousness in order to relive it and to prolong its duration. In this way the yogi will discover the secret key that opens the gate towards this wonderful realm of divine.

THE EIGHTH ADVICE:
Sometimes the yogi will be assailed with troubles. In this case the yogi should be patient and he should control very well his thoughts such as to not allow the inferior feelings - anger, dissapointment, fear, dismay, depression and so on - to overwhelm his being. Thus, he will overcome all the obstacles on the spiritual path.

THE NINETH ADVICE:
The yogi has to intensify his yoga practice when he is confronted with a strong attachement or intense inferior desire.

This stage appears inherently in the process of mind purification. That's why the yogi should be prepared for this in order to react properly and to control his mind.

THE TENTH ADVICE:
If the yogi notices that he doesn't manifest yet good will and compasion then he has to guide all his efforts in order to attain these states of consciousness. The good will and compasion are two important hints that confirm to the yogi he is on the right way.
