Sexuality, an Alchemy Art

Sexuality never was "ethical"... it is "non-ethical" in itself. To code the sexual appetite, to put it under norms that are not specific to it, is useless and reveals a lack of knowledge on its great possibilities - the generation of subtle energies.

In reality it is a veritable masterpiece of alchemy. There is nothing and nobody to be judged, analysed. It is necessary to understand the nature of our throbs and passions by experimenting. Getting close to our sexuality and us represents a true art.

Here the condition is that we maintain a sharp level of awareness, a deep consciousness of the physiological impulses during lovemaking, a clear and distinct perceiving of the subtle processes that give birth to desire and lead pleasure to ecstasy.

The Tantric tradition and the Taoist one preserve veritable treasures of knowledge about the alchemic nature of the human sexuality. In order to understand the perspectives of this "trans-personal sexology", we must learn first how to perceive and feel.

Learning how to perceive and feel "what it is" is the way to fully achieve the act of lovemaking, not pieced in passing and unsubstantial pleasures. In this way, in order to understand the depth of human nature, the alchemy of "the vibrating energies", we must experience the diversity of the psychosomatic and spiritual phenomenon and discover their intimate processing.

When desire is perceived in its subtle, energetic manifestations, a metamorphism of the sexual attraction, which had been strictly organic until that moment, takes place.

The pleasure is diffused through the whole body and a state of voluptuousness is born beyond the functions of the human personality (emotions and feelings) and sometimes even independently.

Sensual love can be seen as a genuine art only when there is authentic love going on between the two. The full experience of love, joy and pleasure can become the jumping board to the superior states of consciousness.

The sexual attraction often precedes the sexual act. When passing from the organic level to the subtle emotional level, this emotion is exceptionally re-lived, but sexual attraction cannot generate a veritable alchemy by itself.

The alchemy of the sexual act therefore involves a deep knowledge of one's own sexuality, a total control over the sexual energy and the existence of pure and unconditional love.

The "fire of passion" is, above all, a "voluptuousness of the eternity" From a superior point of view, the sexual act is not a simple consummation of a physical, animalistic desire.

It is, in fact, an interior aspiration to accomplish the alchemical masterpiece of merging the Male - the Solar principle with the Female - the Lunar one in order to become the perfect human being.

This is a new approach of sexuality, which could shock many people. "Could the sexual act help humans reach that perfect state of salvation that mystics refer to?" The answer is simple and very real: YES.

The will to love, to please and the effort to make the other happy have their origins in a deep, inner aspiration to become one with oneself in the universal bliss.

"The fire of passion" that appears between two lovers, is, above all, a voluptuousness of the eternity. The orgasm is wanted and wished for by people not only because it is a very pleasant and intense sensation, but also because it takes us out from time and gives us the opportunity to feel the taste of eternity.

Knowing all this, a person who is spiritual and sexually continent can reach the summits of the spiritual life (that can usually be reached only by prayer and meditation) by experiencing lovemaking with spiritual emotion and transfiguration.

Therefore, the orgasm does not necessary correspond only to pleasure; it essentially belongs to that nonmaterial, spiritual nature of ourselves.

THE ALCHEMY OF PLEASURE IS THE KNOWLEDGE OF PLENITUDE
In the normal state of consciousness, we have a certain perception of the exterior, many times without even being aware that we perceive it.

We could say that we do not actually "perceive", but only "dream" about the act of perception, because the normal state we are in is similar to the unconsciousness of dreaming.

In the case of the aware and transfiguring lovemaking with continence, the direct perception is the actual source of pleasure and voluptuousness.

The fundamental key to the alchemic art of sensual love is that when we are situated in the middle of the perceptions, we have to plenary understand them and to perfectly control them.

We must learn how to plenary and conscientiously live the erotic pleasure, and how to intuit the divine nature of this pleasure. The true alchemy of love means merging with us, through fusion with the loved one.

It means to consciously let ourselves be surrounded by the bliss of love, to penetrate and let ourselves be penetrated by ecstasy. It is, in fact, the knowledge of plenitude.

The conscious breathing while making love favours a global and precise perception of the entire body, as well as an advanced control over the energetic flows.

This conscious association between breathing and feeling produces a "lucid substance" within the consciousness of the one who experiences it, and develops a new vision over existence in general and over loving existence in particular.

By a controlled and rhythmic breath we enable "the fire of passion" and in the same time we keep it under control. Holding the breath in the peaks of ecstasy, when the energy is much harder to control, induces a stopping of all related processes and spontaneously projects us in a state of blissful void in which, if we are conscious enough, we can experience unity with God.

The emergence of a hiatus (a stop) in the maximum point of the orgasm launches us in an a-temporal and a-spatial dimension where, by having direct access to the perception of Eternity, we can find out our true divine nature, our divine Self.

If we start from the original warmth and effervescence of the "sacred fire" (that takes place during the conscious lovemaking), we can reach a non-dual, bright, innocent and pure knowledge.

In this way we experience a new, touching perception, a non-perception to be more correct, a direct experience, a merging with the non-expressible, unlimited, unutterable, divine.

This new way to feel, beyond any quantitative and qualitative attribute, beyond any size or any location in space and time appears and develops within the non-expressible and unknown. We can say just that it Exists or is Born in every minute within ourselves and through ourselves.

HOW TO UNDERSTAND THE TRANSPERSONAL LOVE EXPERIENCES
The transpersonal love experiences, which have little in common with the ordinary notions about reality, allow us to talk about a new dimension of the sexology, which is the transpersonal sexology.

This new sexology has been experienced in the authentic tantrism and also in certain exceptional mystical revelations.

Without a proper, previous preparation, without an esoteric (mystical) understanding of the sexual act and without being specifically initiated, usually the man feels the need to ejaculate, and are here referring to the primary instincts that are the generated by the need for the conservation of the species that are potentially present in every human being.

The man, as well as the woman, can stop the physiological processes of the animalistic instinct, through a conscious, spiritual action, using images or ideas that allow him/her to resonate with the sublime energies of the universe.

The greatest difficulty here is approaching and understanding the apparent contradiction between the spiritual drive to hold and extend the duration of sexual union and the animalistic impulse to discharge the sexual fluids, generating an enormous loss of energy. You may ask yourselves: "How can my body want and not want at the same time?"

Let's take for example the man: there is the intense urge to ejaculate (instinct), and something opposes it in order to prolong the erotic art in itself (intention).

On one hand, the influence of desire to stop ejaculation can delay the process of achieving a greater amount of voluptuousness, and, on the other hand, the animalistic, instinctive impulse to ejaculate could determine a considerable seminal, physical and energetic loss. This is a dilemma. How can it be solved?

Tantrism and Taoism give an exceptional solution: THE SEXUAL CONTINENCE. In this way, through sexual continence (seminal retention), through a conscious alchemic process, the instinct - the desire to ejaculate - disappears and is replaced by the desire or aspiration to keep the continuity of the merging and reach a profound state of unification.

In this case, a transformation of matter into energy, of primary into subtle, of inferior urges into sublime desires and aspirations takes place. This process is called the SUBLIMATION of the sexual energy.

Ejaculation, directly correlated with procreation, with the creative and divine energy, is experienced by the tantric adepts only when they intend to give birth to a child.

By holding back the ejaculation, an opposite, extremely subtle phenomenon takes place - the driving of the energies inside your inner world instead of losing them to the exterior.

This effervescent accumulation of energies as a result of the love act determines those ecstatic, sublime states. The tantric teachings talk about this state which is in fact a transpersonal sexology.
