Techniques for Balancing the Energies


An important aspect for obtaining a perfect health is to maintain a balance between the solar, yang energies and the lunar, yin energies in our being, which can also be a requisite for the spiritual evolution.

There are complex techniques aiming this, but the one presented here is easy to be approached even by the beginners in the yoga practice.

STARTING POSITION
From a standing position bend slightly the knees and catch the soles with your hands. Place the backhands on the floor. The elbows are between the knees and the knees are distant one from the other. Keep this posture as stable as possible.

STAGES

  • Stretch your back and arms as much as possible and lean back your head. The powerful contraction of the back muscles must generate a strong traction on the arms.

    If the position is right, a pressure will be felt in the lumbar area. Breathe deeply after feeling the traction in the arms and create a partial obstruction of the glottis.

    Thus, you can feel the friction of the air in the larynges that produces a slight inner sound. Breathe like this, calmly and deeply, for about a minute.

  • Stand up while exhaling through the mouth, keeping the hands in the same position, at the level of your soles. The head is as close to the knees as possible. It is necessary that you feel the knees forcefully stretched.

    Pull your trunk downwards with your hands. The knees are stretched. Remain in this position and breathe in the same way. Keep on generating an air friction in the larynges for about a minute.

  • Return to the initial position while inhaling deeply through the nose. Rehearse this exercise few times but without getting to exhaustion.
FOCUS
Focus to perceive the reception of the prana-ic energies during each inhalation and the elimination of the toxic energies, that disturb the vital balance, during each exhalation.

CONTRAINDICATIONS
Everyone that can perform these movements without serious pains can do this exercise without any risk. Persons who suffer from disc hernia can feel certain pains and should practice it moderately.

If persons suffering from lumbago feel muscular pain while performing the exercise, they should not stop as the exercise can prevent lumbago crises. Persons having high pressure should make this exercise very slowly.

EFFECTS
An intense practice of this exercise will innervate the lumbar muscles and the entire sacral area. All the abdominal organs and especially the genitals will be energized.

This exercise regulates the sexual functions and, generally, the hormonal secretion. It confers an increased control on the sexual energies and it is indicated for impotence and frigidity.

A daily practice calms the overwrought persons. It acts especially on the lumbar area and it is indicated for a good functioning of the genitals and for obtaining a perfect health.

It also has an remarcable effect for releasing the nostrils when necessary. The prana and apana energies will be harmonized.

This exercise will produce a powerful inner regeneration and a consequent practice (three times a day, especially when you have a poor digestion) confers an undoubtable juvenescence of the entire organism.

It is a great preparation for the pranayama techniques: balances the solar, masculin, yang energies and with the lunar, feminine, yin energies.
